MTHD Altitude Merino Pull-On Pant - L2

Say bye-bye to sweats - here comes the Altitude Pant! The perfect relaxed silhouette for lazy lounge days at home lounging or being active outdoors. Wear it alone for mild days, or in combination with a base layer bottom [L1] for cold weather. For freezing temperatures and wet conditions, wear it as the insulating layer [L2] for an accompanying outer shell garment [L5].

We took luxurious Merino wool, combined it with a durable polyester yarn and created a hybrid grid fleece base layer with that can be worn next to skin or as a second layer. Wool is naturally water repellent, odor resistant and stretchy. It’s also high wicking and feels “breathable”, all while keeping you insulated, even when wet. Merino sheep are bred to survive scorching summers and freezing winters. Their fleece has evolved to stay cool in temperatures as high as 86°F, or stay warm in temperatures as low as 14°F. Depending on your own body temperature and the humidity of your skin, Merino fibers in clothing respond and adapt to the conditions by either trapping or releasing heat just like they do on the sheep.

Functional fleece fabric engineering begins with an internal grid knit construction which increases warmth and breathability efficiency, while also reducing fabric mass. These geometric patterns improve compressibility, wicking, and add technical style. The exterior surface design has a smooth face, with excellent pill resistance. The overall aesthetic creates a minimalist design that maximizes fabric performance.
